GatherPlace Webinar Program is Better Than Webex

Health and Fitness Marketing Blog

This is not a paid review. I simply found a program that I really like and thought I would share it with you.

Whether you need to host multi-person webinars to demonstrate your product or service to clients, or just need to show your mother how to do something on her computer from five states away, webinar software is a very handy thing to have. More and more these days, it is becoming an absolute “must have” for anyone who does business online. I have used many different webinar programs, both as a host and as an attendee. Two of them stand out above the others, but for different reasons. WebEx stands out because it is so popular, but the lesser know GatherPlace has become my program of choice.

I have used both of these webinar programs many times, and have settled on GatherPlace. It is just so much easier to use, both as a webinar host and as an attendee. The interface is simple and intuitive, and I have never had a client report any trouble using it. Even my mom, who just started using the Internet this year, had no trouble figuring it out.

Here are the main two advantages of Gather Place over Web Ex:
1. Price (GP is $29 per month and Webex is $49 per month)
2. No installation required (Webex requires the people you meet with to download software onto their computer. GatherPlace is all java-based. They click on a link and within seconds the webinar has started. Easy. Simple. No downloads and no hassle.)
3. Simple (Some of my smaller clients were confused by the Webex program during scheduled webinars. None of them have ever had any issues with GatherPlace.)

Both GatherPlace and Webex have free 14 day trials (Click for free GP trial) so even though I have clearly decided on one over the other for my webinars, you might want to go ahead and give them both a test run. No credit card information is required and neither company has sent me spam after signing up for the free trials.
