The BeachBody product is called P90X, although a lot of people get dyslexic and call it PX90. We do that ourselves from time to time. So what’s the deal with P90X anyway? Can it really get you “Ripped in 90 Days”? As you might have guessed, the “90 days” thing is why they call it PX90 in the first place – or P90X if you’re occasionally dyslexic like us. The problem with their 90-Day statement is that they base it on the idea that you’re going to “confuse” your muscles into growing. What they DON’T tell you is that anyone embarking on a new fitness regimen does not need to confuse their muscles.
Your muscles are going to get used to an exercise routine no matter what, but not within the first three months of working out. If you have been working out for years using the same or similar routines, switching it up is ALWAYS going to help you get over that hump, whether you use P90X, PX90 or any other hyped-up workout program out there.
So you see, the folks over at P90X can’t lose. Whether you’re new to regular exercise programs, or you’ve been stuck in a rut – either way changing up your routine is going to provide results. Is the PX90 mostly hype? Yes. Is it hype that works? Yes.
Buy the P90X system for less than the infomercial:
Amazon.com has the best price!
I’ve read enough reviews online, seen enough of the comments below, and used the P90X system enough myself to know that it works and people who buy it are generally happy with their purchase. Just remember that it’s all up to YOU and how hard YOU work for the body YOU want. Hype or no hype, the harder you work the better your results.
Leave your P90X review below and let us know if it has worked for you…

Most of the hype for P90X/PX90 comes from the fact that this is a infomercial product. Its very easy to dismiss this product because of that. However, as mentioned in this article,it does work. I’m not convinced yet that it will make you ripped in 90 days, but it will get you into reasonable shape.
As mentioned in the article, click the link to follow my progress!
Thanks
It’s pretty simple to find some of the P90X exercise workouts on the Internet. Looking at some of the workouts, you can see that it’s a tough program, and you if you follow it as it’s set up, you’re bound to make some progress. I use a similar routine in my own workouts, but maybe I don’t rotate the workouts quite as much. Regardless, if it keeps people intersted, and motivated, then it can’t be all that bad.
P90X is a great program. Youor not just paying to learn how to do the individual excersises. The cost is based on the fact that it is a complete workout “program” that, when done as the directions say, really does work. I personally didnt see the results that were touted on the infomercial, but after 4 months of religiously adhering to the program, i truely am in the best shape of my life. From 20% to 6% body fat, washboard abs, toned arms (not a lot of bulk), and I really feel good.
I truely beleive that spending the $120 it costs to get the DVDs is one of the best investments you can make interms of fitness. hell, my running soes alone cost $120… if you have a doubt, trust me it works. The program takes dedication to succeed, but all fitness routines that actually work take dedication. P90X is a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a gym membership and paying a personall trainer. I strongly recommend the program
I’ve just started wtih the P90X program, I have to say I love it so far. I’ve gone through the first Phase of the program, basically the first 3 weeks and am currently in a rest phase for a single week before pumping it back up again for phase II.
Is it a lot of hype? Well I guess you could say that in that it’s certainly getting a lot of hype, but that’s because it actually works! The workouts are amazing, even if you’ve been a gym regular for over a year like I was this program will challenge you in ways you never imagined, that’s a good thing.
There’s additional value with the program if you’re like me, not really being a gym buf out the gate. You really learn a lot all the way around. About maintaining proper nutrition, new routines, proper form for a lot of different exercieses. To be perfectly honest P90X is exactly what I needed to jump start my workouts and put me on the path I want to be walking down.
Bottom line, this program is worth every penny you’re going to spend on it. Give it a shot, you can’t lose.
Hype is not the word I would use to describe this program! I would use two words BOOT CAMP. This is a great fitness program I myself am hyped about the program because it is motivating, challenging and you dont need a bunch of expensive equipment to acheive great results. If you are thinking of trying P90x get ready to work hard and be sore for 90 days, it works and the workouts are fun and motivating I am building strength with flexability, agility, and endurance, not to mention I look much better carved and lean not round and mean. It is a great value, a personal trainer and gym membership never gave me this kind of physique and the costs are stagering, If your like me you don’t like going to work on your body in front of a bunch of people you really dont know or want to know. It is nice to be able to do this program in the privacy of your own home.
Forgot to rate it! :O)
Muscle confusion must be the new term for circuit training.
I have been on the program for sometime now and I have to say that it is not all hype. I was and fat person but I was out of shape. When I first started the program I thought I was going to die. It is tough but as long as you follow the program, including the diet you will senn and feel the differnece in a short period of time. I recomend it to everyone – but take it at your own pace.
Well, since I am an average Jane and my husband is an average Joe, I am hoping this will get us on the right track. The gym membership didn’t work so we have it on hold while we buy and try the at home thing. I am writing this to push myself to come back and tell you that it really works in …90 days.
I am a long time(25 year) workout nut…4x per week. I had a couple month period of no workouts(long story) and to get back in the groove I purchased P90X online for $56 ( I’m not kidding)
Not from beachbody site, just google search.
The value is in the design of the way you do the exercise weight routines for killer results. I was excited to do the Kenpo, Yoga, and plyometrics to add newness and fun to my workouts.
Yes some of the weight training is good old fashioned muscle training that ALWAYS works but it is the way the routines are designed and the intensity level by design that is giving me great results.
Is the program good for people who have not been in the gym lately. I am an ex-athlete and am wanting to start seriously exercising…just wondering if I could start with this program.
Great program but I am being billed for items that I clearly did not order. BUYER BEWARE!!! While I appreciate the persistentence of the telemarketer when taking my order, I was quite clear to just order the basic cd workout program. Initially I was billed correctly and am greatly satisfied with the product. DON’T STOP HERE!!–three weeks later I was appalled to find charges to my credit card for vitamins, equipment, etc that I clearly stated that I did not want. I have emailed their Customer Service unit and will keep you posted. Hope they respond accordingly.
This is by far the best work out I have ever done. I am currently deployed to Baghdad Iraq and a group of us have been doing the workout for over 90 days. I am 39 years old and been in the USAF for 20 years and this 90 program brought my Physical Fitness Score through the roof. It is an awesome work out that never gets boring. I purchased the DVD set for when I return home. It is money well spent!
Michell
It really works! Honest!
I have just started the program and it has been one of the best ones that I have experienced. I have lost 40lbs on my own without exercise. So now I need to tone things up and get in better condition. So far it has been great. I have more energy and even though my body is sore. I can not wait to finish the 90 days and see the results when I compair my measurments.
