Mari Winsor Slimming Pilates

The Pilates Accelerator

Mari Winsor, the woman who introduced the United States to Winsor Pilates two decades ago, is back with a new Pilates workout system called Winsor Slimming Pilates, which incorporates the use of an inexpensive alternative to bulky Pilates machines called the Accelerator.

The Slimming Pilates system itself seems to rely heavily on the “Seamless Transitioning” concept, which looks to me like it incorporates some yoga fundamentals. The idea is that you’re not resting between exercises and positions, but are rather transitioning seamlessly from one position to the next. It gives you a better workout faster and the muscles used in during transitions are often those that don’t get a very good workout from standard positions.

OK, so you get several DVDs, a position chart, weight loss plan, diet book with recipes… the usual. But the two things this infomercial product offers that make it worth the price are membership to the club with access to Mari Winsor herself and, especially, the Slimming Pilates Accelerator.

The Accelerator doesn’t look like much at first, but it’s really a portable, inexpensive version of bulky, costly machines like the Pilates Reformer and Cadillac. I always thought that these medieval-looking devices were purposefully and overly complicated to justify the cost – and the Accelerator proves that point.

I turned 60 last week, I have 2 children, 4 grandchildren and I have to honestly say all I have ever done is complain about my bulges and my abs. I have never dieted or tried to loose weight. I saw this on TV yesterday and it looks like something I can do with my bad knee. I am ordering today. Once I get it I will let you know how it works for me. My oldest grandchild graduates in May and I am hoping to surprise her with my new body.

Please let us know how it works out. I had triplets 4 years ago and just cannot get back my shape. I saw the commercial and thought I might give it a try. Other fads have not worked out for me.

I needed an exercise program that I can do with a bad knee. Even though I am on crutches and unable to walk, I can do this program without a lot of discomfort. I am glad I have found a way to get some exercise pre surgery and after. It is encouraging after being so limited physically. The bands support my movements and make it easier to perform each exercise correctly. That makes the workout more effective and encourages me to keep going.

This is such a wonderful tool!! I’ve been using it for the past 3 weeks and can see a major difference in my body. You can feel your body becoming stronger & more toned within a matter of days if you stay consistent with the workouts. Everyone should buy this!!
