		<description>This is some excellent information on working out on an elliptical.  I would add a couple of other selections.  

First, use the different pre-installed programs.  It will alternate the resistance and give your exercise routine some variety.  I have 6 programs on my elliptical and I go through the rotation of all six.  Many elliptical allow you to create your own customized programs and store them. 

Second, people tend not put much resistance in the upper body workout.  They often let their arms go through the motions.  Consciously apply pressure to the handlebars.  The benefits are you strengthen your upper body and you get an increased cardio workout.
