Steve Case On a Roll with Revolution Health
According to LeeAnn Prescott, Research Director at Hitwise, Revolution Health was ranked #11 in the Health and Medical Information category, and traffic has increased to the site by 113% since the previous month!
For those of you who don’t recognize the name, Steve Case (pictured here looking like he’s about to kick ol’ Georgie’s butt) co-founded AOL, and played a vital role in AOL’s merger with Time Warner in 2000. This isn’t some newbie to the web. Mr. Case knows what is hot, what has money-making potential and - most importantly - when to stay the course and when to jump ship. It doesn’t look like he’s jumping ship anytime soon, and the success of Revolution Health is a testament to the vitality of the health and fitness industry online.
Oh, I also just feel compelled to mention that Steve Case graduate from Punahou School, which I loved across from for two years in Hawaii. Of course, I lived there in 1998-1999 and Steve graduated from the school the year before I was born… but it’s still a fun coincidence.
