WOW, it’s been a long time since I’ve made a post on this blog. I’ve been involved in a few other website which, unfortunately, have caused me to neglect First Page Fitness for awhile. But when I saw the Kettlenetics infomercial last night I thought the subject of kettlebells deserved a few words. (more…)
The human body comes in all shapes an sizes. Some people are genetically gifted and some are genetically cursed. While most of us fall somewhere in the middle, here are six people who occupy extreme ends of the spectrum…
And no, Greg Valentino didn’t make the list because injecting your arms full of Synthol doesn’t count.
No website in the health and fitness industry should ever be without an email list. The problem with email lists is that growing them takes time, and while you are waiting for the list to grow it may not be worth your time, money and effort to manually create an email newsletter every week or month. From managing the list, to designing the newsletter, writing the content, and sending out the email blast - it can take many hours just to send an email out to five people.
Here’s a free tool that will allow you continue to grow your email list and provide value to your subscribers without having to manually create an email each week or each month: Nouri.sh Feed To Email Free Account .
You can subscribe to our feed aggregation mailing list from the right column on our home page to see what it’s all about. Basically, you just plug in the feed URLs (supposed to be yours, but from what we can tell the system allows you to use ANY feed), and tell the system how often you want an email sent out. You can use multiple feeds, import and export email contact lists, and send up to 5,000 emails per month for free.
At that point, you can just sit back and forget about the email newsletter and instead focus on adding fresh, informative content to your blog, which will automatically populate the newsletter.
Just make up a fitness product, get insurance (in case you get sued) and put an infomercial on late-night television. If our earlier list of lame fitness gimmicks wasn’t proof of that, here’s another one to add to the list:
The Hawaii Chair:
I tell you what. Come up with something that works out your thighs (and I mean ANYTHING!), put a patent on it, call it the “thighblaster” (not thighMaster) and we’ll sell you this domain for $5,000 and a box of protein bars.
Many people don’t have the time, money or resources to develop a full-scale health supplement eCommerce store online from scratch. You have to hire a designer, find a design, write all of the copy for each product, buy inventory or find a drop-shipper, handle customer service calls, ship out the products or deal with fulfillment houses…
We talk to countless personal trainers who have their own website already, but want to sell health and wellness products on it. Most of them do not have the thousands of dollars to invest in a website, or the thousands of dollars to spend on search engine optimization.
We used to tell them they had only one choice in that case - affiliate programs. While this is a great way to get started, the commissions on some programs can be as little as 5%, whereas markup on products from your own store could be as high as 100% for many products.
